Commonly known as the Blue Atlas Cedar, this is a large and stately tree. It bears blue-green, needle-like foliage held on horizontal branches. It grows initially with a conical shape but as it matures the crown tends to broaden out and it will eventually reach 35 m tall and 15 m wide. Best results with this tree are achieved when it is planted in full sun on a well-drained site. It is hardy to frost, coastal environments, and cool climates. The Blue Atlas Cedar is commonly used as a specimen in a park or large garden.
