“Glauca” is a blue coloured conifer that grows with a broad and open, pyramidal shape. The blue-grey needles on this evergreen are held densely on near horizontal branches and give the tree a tiered appearance. It is a slow growing tree and will eventually reach 20 m tall and 8 m wide, performing best when planted in full sun on a well-drained site. It is tolerant of dry periods, cold climates, frost, coastal environments, and moderate wind. “Glauca” is commonly grown as a colourful specimen in parks, used in an avenue planting, or grown where space affords.
