Feijoa 'Wiki Tu' Details

Feijoa ‘Wiki Tu’ is a variety of Feijoa that produces high yields of medium sized fruit. The fruit has a semi-smooth, light green skin, and flesh that is sweet and flavoursome. The fruit result from bright red flowers in summer which are set amidst the dark green leaves. This evergreen shrub typically grows to 2.5 m tall and the same wide but can be trimmed as necessary. It performs best when planted in full sun on a well-drained, fertile site, and is tolerant of coastal environments, short periods of dry, some wind, and moderate frost once established. Feijoa ‘Wiki Tu’ is commonly grown for fruit production, trimmed into a hedge, used for screening, included in cottage gardens, or added into a mixed planting. The Plant Company recommends planting at least two varieties to provide for a longer period of fruiting and to ensure better pollination.
