“Cutlers Red” is a variety of grapefruit that produces good yields of large, deep orange, juicy fruit from winter through spring. The rind is thick but easily peeled. It grows densely with glossy, dark green leaves to about 3 m tall and the same wide and can be trimmed as necessary. Best performance with this variety is achieved when it is grown in full sun on a well-drained, sheltered site, protected from heavy frost, though it will tolerate moderate frost once established. “Cutlers Red” is commonly grown for fruit production but also makes a lovely addition to a mixed planting and can be maintained in a large container.
