“Snow Queen” is a Nectarine variety that produces large-sized, red fruit flushed with yellow in summer. The flesh is firm, cream-white, and has a heavenly flavour. This deciduous tree grows with an upright habit to about 5 m tall and 3 m wide. Nectarines grow best when planted in full sun on a well-drained, sheltered site. While trees are tolerant of frost and prefer temperate climates, late frosts in spring can damage the flowers and therefore the crop. This is a great fruit tree for fruit production and looks impressive when grown as a specimen or added to a mixed planting. NB: it does not need another variety (pollinator) planted nearby to produce fruit.
