“Springwood Pink” is a sprawling shrub that produces masses of small, pink, bell shaped flowers from autumn through spring. The flowers hang off the stems and literally transform the plant. The foliage comprises fine, dark green leaves held on spreading branches. It typically grows to 40 cm tall and 70 cm wide, performing best when planted in full sun on a well-drained site. It will grow well in partial shade but plants will tend to be more open. It is tolerant of moderate frost, dry periods, coastal conditions, and some wind. “Springwood Pink” is commonly used as a groundcover, mass planted on a bank, used in borders, or included in cottage gardens.
