Canna ‘Ambassador’ is grown for its impressive flowers and foliage. It features large and showy, cream-white flowers in summer. The flowers are held on a solid stem above the lush, mid-green leaves which serve as a lovely backdrop. It grows as a clump and will typically reaches 75 cm tall and the same wide. In cold environments the plants may die back during winter to regrow again in spring. Cannalilies grow best on a well-drained soil in full sun or partial shade though they are generally tolerant of cold environments and wet soils. Canna ‘Ambassador’ is commonly used in tropical gardens, maintained in a container, planted alongside water features, added to mixed plantings, planted around outdoor living areas, or included in wetter areas of the garden. A mass planting is very rewarding with this variety.
