Canna ‘Tropical Bronze Scarlet’ is a variety of Canna Lily grown for its impressive flowers and foliage. In Flowers spikes up to 1.5 m tall rise above the foliage in summer bearing masses of showy, red flowers. The large and lush, purple leaves provide a lovely accent to the flowers. This herbaceous perennial typically grows to 1.2 m tall and 1 m wide, and in cold environments may die back during winter to regrow again when temperatures warm in spring. Cannalilies grow best when planted on a well-drained, sheltered site in full sun or partial shade, though it is tolerant of moderate frost and heavy soils. Canna ‘Tropical Bronze Scarlet’ is commonly included in tropical gardens, planted alongside a water feature or around outdoor living areas, or simply included in a mixed planting. Mass plantings are both stunning and very rewarding with this variety.
