Carex maorica is a fast growing, NZ native grass that features bright green, arching foliage. It produces distinctive, brown flower spikes through summer. The plant typically grows to 1 m tall and the same wide and provides a great sanctuary for birds. It grows best in a damp position in either full sun or partial shade and can be planted into shallow water.
