“Aline” is a variety of Azalea grown for its lovely form and profuse flowering. This hardy, evergreen shrub produces masses of large and showy, fragrant, pure white blooms from winter until late spring. It typically grows to 70 cm tall and the same wide, growing best when planted in full sun or partial shade on a well-drained, sheltered site. Plants are tolerant of frost and cool climates but do require good soil moisture levels during dry periods and should be protected from harsh frost while establishing. When fertilising avoid using lime as this will stunt or even kill plants. “Aline” is a great choice for container growing, adding to a mixed planting, using in borders, planting around the base of larger trees, including in “white” gardens, or planting anywhere a stunning plant is required. Cluster planting is very trendy and gives a tremendous display.
