Callistemon ‘Genoa Glory’ is a compact and low maintenance shrub grown for its impressive flowers. Masses of purple-maroon flowers are produced in spring and again in autumn and are great for attracting birds and bees. This bottlebrush grows as a dense, bushy shrub with a spreading, somewhat pendulous habit to about 1.5 m tall and 1.2 m wide. Best performance with this evergreen is achieved when it is grown in full sun or partial shade on a well-drained site. It tolerates a wide variety of climatic conditions including frost and coastal conditions, as well as most soil types, barring extreme wet or dry, making it an easy to grow plant. This bottlebrush makes a striking feature when planted against a wall or in a large container. Callistemon ‘Genoa Glory’ is also very effective when grown as a specimen, trimmed into a hedge, or added to a mixed planting.
