Hebe laingii is a “whipcord” Hebe that grows as an erect, bushy, evergreen shrub to about 30 cm tall and 60 cm wide. It carries minute, yellow-green leaves that are clasped tightly around a stem. White flowers are produced at the branch tips in summer. Best performance with this plant is achieved when planted in full sun on a well-drained site. It is frost hardy and will tolerate coastal conditions, dry periods, and cool climates. This Hebe is ideal for including in mixed plantings, mass planting as a groundcover, including in borders, or planting around the base of trees and large shrubs.
