“Wairua Beauty” is a NZ native shrub grown for its lovely form, foliage, and flowers. The mid-green leaves are small and slender, and held on short stems. The foliage is adorned with showy sprays of white flowers through spring which are truly outstanding. It grows with a rounded habit to about 1 m tall and 75 cm wide, performing best when planted in full sun or partial shade on a well-drained, sheltered site. This variety is hardy and will tolerate moderate frost, dry periods, and coastal environments. “Wairua Beauty” is commonly included in mixed and border plantings, mass planted either on a bank or as a groundcover, planted around outdoor living areas, or included in cottage or “white” gardens. The beauty and versatility of this Hebe makes it a popular choice among landscape designers.
