“Winsome Girl” is a Hebe that has lovely form, foliage, and flowers. The leaves are impressively coloured purple and green with new foliage tending more purple. Purple colouring also becomes more intense as the weather cools. Through autumn it produces short sprays of pretty, violet-blue flowers at the ends of branches. These simply add more beauty to an already outstanding plant. It grows as a rounded, bushy shrub to about 40 cm tall and 60 cm wide. This Hebe is hardy and will tolerate both cold and dry conditions as well as coastal environments. It will grow best when planted in full sun or partial shade on a well-drained site. Use this Hebe in mixed plantings, for border planting, grow in a container, or mass plant for an effective display.
