“Apple Blossom” is an evergreen shrub from China and is grown for its pretty flowers and attractive foliage. It features thick and leathery, dark green leaves which develop a bronze tint during winter. The foliage is adorned with masses of pink flowers borne in clusters during spring which are followed by dark blue berries. It typically grows to 1.5 m tall and the same wide, performing best when planted in full sun on a well-drained, sheltered site. It will tolerate coastal environments, some wind, moderate frost, and short periods of dry. “Apple Blossom” is a great choice for trimming into a hedge, adding to a mixed planting, planting around outdoor living areas, maintaining in a container, or planting to provide fantastic colour.
