“Kew Green” is a handsome, evergreen shrub with impressive and fragrant flowers. It features glossy, dark green leaves held densely off short stems. The foliage is adorned with clusters of small and showy, green buds that open to reveal yellow flowers that age to white through spring. It grows with a rounded shape to about 75 cm tall and 1 m wide, performing best when planted in full sun on a well-drained site that does not dry out. It will tolerate moderate frost though should be protected while establishing. “Kew Green” is commonly included in a mixed planting, planted around outdoor living areas, or grown as an informal hedge.
