“Fireglow” is an impressive Japanese Maple featuring a rich display of delicate foliage. Leaves on this deciduous tree emerge an intense red colour in spring and remain this way until autumn when they turn purple-red before falling. It grows with a vase shape to about 5 m tall and the same wide, and can be trimmed as necessary. Best results with this Maple are achieved when it is planted in full sun on a well-drained site. It is tolerant of frost, cool climates, short periods of dry, and a range of soil types, barring extreme wet and dry. “Fireglow” makes for a magnificent specimen and is ideal for including in a mixed planting, growing against a stark wall, or for using anywhere the spectacular colour can be enjoyed.
