“Villa Taranto” is an impressive Japanese Maple with its rich display of delicate and colourful foliage. Leaves emerge purple-red in spring, age to a mix of yellow, yellow, and purple in summer, then turn colourful shades of yellow and orange in autumn before falling. This deciduous tree typically grows with a rounded shape to about 3 m tall and 2 m wide, with results achieved when planted in full sun on a well-drained site. It is tolerant of frost, cool climates, short periods of dry, and most soil conditions, except extreme wet and dry. “Villa Taranto” is a magnificent specimen and is ideal for mixed plantings, planting against a stark wall, or for using anywhere the spectacular colour can be enjoyed.
