Commonly known as Baumann’s Horse Chestnut, this is a lovely, spreading tree. It bears large, upright sprays of double, white flowers tinged with yellow in spring. The foliage comprises large, dark green leaves which changes to yellow in autumn before falling. It typically grows to 12 m tall and 8 m wide, performing best when positioned in full sun on a well-drained site.
