“Eddies White Wonder” is a small, deciduous tree grown for its impressive flowering and pendulous nature. Large and showy, single, white flowers adorn the tree in spring and are followed by red berries in autumn which are great for attracting birds. It grows with a narrow, upright form carrying dark green leaves held on pendulous branches. As autumn progresses the leaves develop impressive shades of red before falling. It typically grows to 6 m tall and 3 m wide though can easily be contained to smaller sizes with trimming. Best performance with this plant is achieved when it is grown in full sun or partial shade on a well-drained site. It is tolerant of frost, cool climates, and short periods of dry. “Eddies White Wonder” makes a lovely specimen and is a great choice for adding to a mixed planting, or using as backdrop for smaller plants. Its unusualness and beauty makes this tree a popular choice.
