“Falling Snow” is a variety of Flowering Cherry grown for its pendulous growth and fantastic flowering. It features masses of single, white flowers which are borne before the foliage emerges. The foliage emerges a fresh green colour in spring, ages to dark green, then develops yellow, orange, and red tones in autumn before falling. The branches are held with a pendulous manner and makes this tree very aesthetic. It typically grows to 2 m tall and 1.5 m wide, performing best when planted in a full sun position on a well-drained site. It is tolerant of frost, cool climates, and periods of dry. “Falling Snow” is a stunning tree when in flower and makes a fine addition to any garden. It is commonly used in smaller gardens, grown as a specimen, added to a mixed planting, or planted around outdoor living areas.
