Gordonia yunnanensis, commonly known as the Fried Egg Tree, is a small, evergreen tree renowned for both its attractive foliage and adorable flowers. Large and showy, white flowers coat the plant from autumn through spring with the petals resembling crushed tissue paper as it grows to 7 m tall and 5 m wide. Gordonia yunnanensis makes a lovely specimen and is ideal for avenue planting, including in large cottage gardens, adding to a mixed planting, or trimming into a hedge.

Eucryphia cordifolia
Commonly known as Ulmo, this is a handsome, evergreen tree renowned for both its attractive foliage and pleasant flowers. The sweetly fragrant flowers are white and are produced through summer. The foliage is silver-green with a leathery appearance. It can grow 20 m tall and 10 m wide but is often trimmed to sizes much less than this. Best results with this tree are achieved when it is planted in full sun on a well-drained site. It can be grown in coastal environments and is frost tolerant. Ulmo is commonly grown as a specimen, included in cottage and “white” gardens, used in avenue plantings, or included anywhere a beautiful tree is desired.
