Bambusa Alphonse Karr

Bambusa multiplex Alphonse Karr is a variety of bamboo grown for its striking yellow shoots which are striped with green. It typically grows to 8 m tall and 4 m wide with stems about 35 mm in diameter. Bambusa Alphonse Karr is commonly used as a feature plant, for privacy screening, hedging, or as a backdrop for smaller plants. Regular trimming keeps this bamboo looking fresh as well as containing growth.

Bambusa oldhamii is one of the larger bamboos and commonly known as the Giant Timber Bamboo or Oldhams bamboo. It can grow up to 20 m tall with stems having a diameter of 10 cm. Bambusa oldhamii is commonly grown as a specimen but is also very effective for providing privacy screening, hedging, and is perfect for a large, tropical garden.
