Libertia grandiflora, commonly known as the NZ Grand Iris or Mikoikoi, is a NZ native is grown for its beautiful flowers and lush foliage. Stems rise the foliage in spring to bear clusters of showy, white flowers in spring. The strap-like, dark green leaves provide an impressive contrast to the flowers as it grows to 60 cm tall and 75 cm wide. Libertia grandiflora is commonly mass planted either on a bank or as a groundcover, added to a mixed planting, used in borders, planted around the base of trees, or added to cottage or “white” gardens.
