Muehlenbeckia complexa
Muehlenbeckia complexa, commonly known as Maidenhair Vine, Creeping Wire Vine, or Pohuehue, is a low growing groundcover plant or climbing vine. This NZ native forms a dense mat of wiry, brown stems carrying tiny, green leaves. It grows to 30 cm tall and 2 m wide as a groundcover, but will climb fences, etc, with its twining stems to much larger sizes. Muehlenbeckia complexa makes for an attractive ground cover and will tolerate a reasonable amount of foot traffic. Its climbing nature makes it great for growing on fences or trellises for topiary.

Metrosideros Wee Willie Winkie is a small variety of Pohutukawa and grown for its compact form and attractive foliage. The impressive foliage is variegated with cream and green and becomes adorned with white flowers during summer. While it is often grown as a shrub, it will begin to climb if it has something it can cling onto. Metrosideros Wee Willie Winkie is an excellent choice for coastal gardens, adding to a mixed or border planting, or mass planting for a wonderful display. It also suits being maintained in a container or planting around outdoor living areas.
