Callistemon Genoa Glory is a compact and low maintenance shrub grown for its impressive flowers. Masses of purple-maroon flowers are produced in spring and again in autumn and are great for attracting birds and bees. This bottlebrush grows as a dense, bushy shrub with a spreading, somewhat pendulous habit to about 1.5 m tall and 1.2 m wide. Callistemon Genoa Glory is also very effective when grown as a specimen, trimmed into a hedge, or added to a mixed planting.

Tibouchina Blaze of Glory is grown for both its foliage and beautiful flowers. It grows as an evergreen shrub and carries soft looking foliage which is variegated cream and green. The deep purple flowers are produced in abundance generally twice per year (spring and autumn) with sporadic flowering through the other seasons. It grows compactly to about 1.5 m tall and the same wide. Tibouchina Blaze of Glory is commonly included in a mixed planting, maintained in a container, planted around outdoor living areas, added to cottage gardens, or used as a backdrop for smaller plants.
