Corokia cotoneaster, commonly known as Korokio or the Wire-Netting Bush, features tough, dark stems that give the plant an appearance akin to wire mesh. This NZ native carries small, grey leaves with the undersides of the leaves covered in downy, white hairs. In spring, yellow star-shaped flowers are borne in abundance and result in yellow-orange berries. It typically grows to 2 m tall and the same wide but can be trimmed as necessary. Corokia cotoneaster makes for a great shelter plant and clips into an excellent hedge. It is a fantastic plant for adding contrast and variety to the garden.

Corokia Little Prince is a small and twiggy, NZ native shrub that features small, grey-brown leaves and black stems. The slim, intertwined stems afford an unusual element to this plant. It produces masses of small, yellow flowers in spring which are followed by red berries in autumn as it grows to 3 m tall and 1.5 m wide. Corokia Little Prince clips into an excellent hedge and it perfect for adding contrast and variety to a mixed planting.
