Crassula Ovata Types

Crassula ovata

Crassula ovata, commonly known as the Money Plant or Money Tree, is a succulent that grows as an attractive small shrub. It carries fleshy, green leaves with a red edge, and may develop yellow tones when grown in full sun and during cooler periods. Mildly fragrant, white flowers are borne during summer as it grows to 1 m tall and the same wide. Crassula ovata is often used as a houseplant but can equally be grown outdoors provided it is protected from frost. It is well suited to rock gardens, Mediterranean themed gardens, pool areas, or planting to border an entrance.

Crassula ovata minima

Crassula ovata minima, commonly known as the Dwarf Jade Plant, is a succulent that grows as an attractive small shrub. It carries small fleshy, dark green leaves with a red edge. This South African native typically grows to 70 cm tall and 50 cm wide. Crassula ovata minima is often used as a houseplant but can equally be grown outdoors provided it is protected from frost. It is well suited to rock gardens, Mediterranean themed gardens, pool areas, or planting to border an entrance.
