Fuchsia excorticata, commonly known as Kotukutuku or Tree Fuchsia, is the largest of the fuchsia species growing to 8 m tall and 4 m wide. The tree produces green and purple flowers in spring, which age to red, and attract all manner of wildlife. The leaves on this deciduous tree are small and green, and held somewhat densely on a spreading crown.
