Muehlenbeckia axillaris, commonly known as Creeping Wire Vine or Pohuehue, forms a dense mat of wiry stems carrying tiny, glossy green leaves. Masses of small, cream-coloured flowers are borne through summer and result in small, white berries in autumn. This NZ native typically grows to 20 cm tall and 1 m wide. Muehlenbeckia axillaris is great for covering large areas such as a bank and makes for an effective and attractive ground cover.

The plant becomes adorned with tiny, white flowers during summer. This evergreen typically grows to 30 cm tall and 80 cm wide, and performs best when grown in full sun on a well-drained soil.
