Camellia Setsugekka is commonly grown as specimen, clipped into a hedge, added to a mixed planting, used in cottage or “white” gardens, planted around outdoor living areas, or used as a backdrop for smaller plants.

Lonicera nitida, commonly known as the Boxleaf Honeysuckle, is a hardy shrub often used instead of Buxus as a hedge. It carries dense, upright branches which host small and glossy, dark green leaves. New growth has attractive, purple-black edges as it grows to 2 m tall and 1 m wide. Lonicera nitida makes for a lovely backdrop for smaller plants and is commonly trimmed into a hedge and used for topiary.
