Tall Fescue
Tall Fescue lawns feature dark green leaves with a somewhat coarse texture. This variety of grass seed is typically used where a quick growing and hard-wearing lawn is required. For these reasons it is a popular choice and the type usually used by producers of ready lawn. When sowing Tall Fescue grass seed the rate is 50 grams per square metre. If you are over-sowing existing grass, use 75 grams per square metre. Tall Fescue is a turf species that can be grown in all regions of NZ.

Penetraide
Penetraide is a highly effective, long-term, re-wetting agent. The dry granules are mixed with soil or growing media to enable re-wetting when the substrate becomes dry. This is particularly important for lawns and plant nurseries where the soil can be difficult to rewet from dry. It will provide up to 7 months activity, depending on the rate of application and the frequency of dry-out. Use 40-70 g /m², with the higher rates used for longer-term activity. A quarter of a teaspoon per pot is all that is required for pot grown plants.
