NZ Iris, Orange Libertia

Libertia peregrinans, commonly known as the NZ Iris, Creeping Iris, or Mikoiko, is a NZ native grown for its beautiful, white flowers and attractive foliage. The delicate looking flowers are produced through spring and summer and are complemented with orange-yellow leaves that are both stiff and erect. It grows as a clump to about to 50 cm tall and the same wide. Libertia peregrinans is commonly mass planted, added to a mixed planting, used in borders, planted around the base of large trees, included in cottage gardens, or planted anywhere a hardy, yet attractive plant is required.
