It produces narrow leaves which are grey-green and when the white undersides of the leaves are exposed they give a variegated appearance. Small and yellow, daisy like flowers are borne during summer as it grows to just 6 cm tall and 30 cm wide. Dymondia margaretae can be used as a lawn replacement, particularly in dry areas, and is often used a filler between pavers or stepping stones.
