Crassula ovata, commonly known as the Money Plant or Money Tree, is a succulent that grows as an attractive small shrub. It carries fleshy, green leaves with a red edge, and may develop yellow tones when grown in full sun and during cooler periods. Mildly fragrant, white flowers are borne during summer as it grows to 1 m tall and the same wide. Crassula ovata is often used as a houseplant but can equally be grown outdoors provided it is protected from frost.
