Corynocarpus laevigatus, commonly known as Karaka, is a handsome, NZ native tree that features large and glossy, green leaves. The lush foliage is adorned with cream-green flowers in spring which result in fragrant and fleshy, orange fruit in summer as it grows to 8 m tall and 5 m wide. Corynocarpus laevigatus is commonly included in coastal gardens, planted as a screen or informal hedge, or grown as a lovely specimen. Griselinia Broadway Mint, commonly known as Kapuka or NZ Broadleaf, is a fast growing, small, NZ native tree with dense branching and lush foliage which makes it perfect for hedging. The foliage comprises large and glossy, wavy leaves which gives it a fresh and vibrant appeal. Left untrimmed, it will grow to 5 m tall and 3 m wide, but it is often clipped to sizes much less than this.
