Corynocarpus laevigatus, commonly known as Karaka, is a handsome, NZ native tree that features large and glossy, green leaves. The lush foliage is adorned with cream-green flowers in spring which result in fragrant and fleshy, orange fruit in summer as it grows to 8 m tall and 5 m wide. Corynocarpus laevigatus is commonly included in coastal gardens, planted as a screen or informal hedge, or grown as a lovely specimen. Hebe Turkish Delight is a NZ native grown for its amazing foliage and flowers. The small leaves are deep purple-bronze, and are held densely off short stems. It bears showy spikes of blue-mauve flowers through spring and summer which creates a fantastic display as it grows to 90 cm tall and the same wide. Hebe Turkish Delight is commonly added to a mixed or border planting, planted around outdoor living areas such as pools, used in cottage gardens, or mass planted on a bank.
