Carex testacea, commonly known as Orange Sedge or Orange Carex, is a tussock-like grass that bears rich, orange-bronze leaves as it grows to 50 cm tall and the same wide. Carex testacea is commonly used in coastal or rock gardens, included in borders or mixed plantings, mass planted either as a groundcover or on a bank, or simply grown in a container. It is a very versatile and rewarding plant which is favoured by landscape designers across NZ.
