Phormium tenax
Phormium tenax, commonly known as flax or harakeke, produces erect, green, sword-like leaves. Harakeke grows as a clump to about 2 m tall and the same wide in full sun on a well-drained site. This NZ native flax is added to a mixed planting, planted along the edges of water features, used in coastal gardens, or included in riparian plantings.

Phormium Chocolate Chip is commonly planted around pool and barbecue areas, added to mixed plantings, or mass planted on a bank.
