Metrosideros kermadecensis variegata is an outstanding variety of Pohutukawa which is grown for its colourful leaves and flowers. It features lush foliage that is variegated dark green and cream. The foliage is adorned with bright red flowers through summer as it grows to 6 m tall and 4 m wide. Metrosideros kermadecensis variegata is an excellent choice for coastal gardens, adding to a mixed planting, trimming into a hedge, using as a backdrop for smaller plants, growing as a screen, planting for shelter, or growing as a specimen.
