Phormium cookianum 'Purpurea' is a variety of Flax with long, sword-like, purple leaves. This variety typically grows to 1.5 m tall and the same width, with a tidy and compact habit. Phormium cookianum 'Purpurea' makes a fantastic addition to mixed plantings and borders, and is well-suited for coastal gardens. It can also be used to accentuate water features, such as ponds and streams, or grown around pool and barbecue areas.
