This variety of Sedum is grown for its colourful foliage and creeping growth habit. It forms a carpet of small and succulent, blue-green and purple foliage. It typically grows to 5 cm tall and 25 cm wide, performing best when planted in full sun on a well-drained site. It will tolerate light frost only but will survive extended dry periods. Minor is commonly grown in a container, used in rock gardens, included in tropical and pool gardens, or grown along the edge of a path where it migrate outwards.
