Muehlenbeckia complexa, commonly known as Maidenhair Vine, Creeping Wire Vine, or Pohuehue, is a low growing groundcover plant or climbing vine. This NZ native forms a dense mat of wiry, brown stems carrying tiny, green leaves. It grows to 30 cm tall and 2 m wide as a groundcover, but will climb fences, etc, with its twining stems to much larger sizes. Muehlenbeckia complexa makes for an attractive ground cover and will tolerate a reasonable amount of foot traffic. Its climbing nature makes it great for growing on fences or trellises for topiary.

Tradescantia zebrina is a popular houseplant owing to its colourful foliage and trailing nature. It hosts foliage that is variegated purple and silver with a green undertone. The leaves are held off creeping stems which will trail down the side of a pot or the like. This herbaceous perennial typically grows to 10 cm tall and about 50 cm wide, performing best when positioned in full sun or partial shade on a well-drained, sheltered spot that is free from frost. Any wind or brushing against can easily knock the stems off, though it will regrow again quickly if that occurs. Tradescantia zebrina is perfect for growing indoors or for planting around protected outdoor living areas. It looks amazing when positioned on a shelf in an office or bathroom.
