Juncus maritimus, commonly known as Sea Rush, is a species of rush that prevails in coastal areas. It has long and rigid leaves that are lime-green in colour and can reach 1.2 m in length. Juncus pallidus, commonly known as the Giant Rush, features erect, dark green leaves and grows as a tidy clump to about 75 cm tall and 50 cm wide. The Giant Rush is ideal for wetland revegetation, riparian plantings, or planting around ponds and streams. Juncus pallidus is also suited to urban planting where it works well in borders, mixed plantings, or anywhere a hardy and durable plant is required.
