Gooseberry Pax is a small deciduous shrub grown and produces high quality berries. Heavy crops of large, dark red fruits that are not only tasty but also fantastic for eating fresh. It grows with an open habit to about 1 m tall and the same wide. The foliage is made up of small, thin, green leaves carried on thornless shoots. Through spring and summer, it produces small, white flowers that result in juicy berries in summer and autumn. It will produce fruit when planted by itself and does not need another variety planted alongside. Best performance is achieved when grown in full sun on a well-drained site with moderate shelter. Gooseberry Pax is commonly used for fruit production, included in a mixed planting, or planted to deter foot traffic.
