Punica granatum Nana, commonly known as the Dwarf Pomegranate or Nana Pomegranate, is a deciduous shrub that grows to about 1 m tall and the same wide. It is not only small in stature, but even the flowers and fruit are dwarfed. The foliage emerges bronze, ages to green, then develops yellow tones before falling. It produces attractive orange-red flowers which are followed by bright orange fruit, even on young plants. The fruit in summer are quite flavoursome. Punica granatum Nana is perfect for container growing, bonsai, including in mixed planting, or simply growing for its fruit.
