Dahlia Apache is a beautiful and award-winning variety of Dahlia owing to its colourful and interesting flowers. This herbaceous perennial produces large and showy, cactus-like, bright red flowers with a ruffled edge. These impressive blooms are produced from summer through autumn and are held above the lush and dense, dark green foliage. It typically grows to 1.1 m tall and 70 cm wide and may die back in winter but will regrow again when conditions warm in spring. Best results with this variety are achieved when it is planted in full sun on a well-drained, sheltered site. It is tolerant of cool climates, frost, and short periods of dry.
