This mix features varieties that produce colourful, single flowers. The fragrant and showy blooms are borne on slender stems from spring above the lush, dark green foliage. They grow to 30 cm tall and 15 cm wide, performing best when positioned in full sun on a well-drained site. They are tolerant of short periods of dry, frost, cool climates, and will die back during these times to regrow when conditions start to warm. This mix is commonly included in cottage gardens, planted around outdoor living areas, used in border plantings, or planted around the base of deciduous trees and shrubs. A mass planting is a must with bulbs spaced 5-10 cm apart and planted 5 cm deep. Be careful not to over-water the plants.
