Naked Ladies
Commonly known as Naked Ladies, “Belladonna Pink” produces amazing flowers in autumn. Stems up to 50 cm tall rise from the ground and bear gorgeous, pink flowers. The dark green leaves emerge soon after and have a lush appeal. Overall this herbaceous perennial will grow to about 30 cm tall and 20 cm wide, and usually dies back when conditions become unfavourable (i.e., too cold or dry usually). This variety grows best when positioned in full sun or partial shade on a well-drained and sheltered site. It will tolerate dry periods, cool climates, and frost but not heavy and wet soils. “Belladonna Pink” is commonly included in cottage gardens, included in mixed and border plantings, or maintained in a container. A mass planting is a must with this plant and bulbs should be spaced 20-25 cm apart.
