Triteleia
Triteleia is a bulbous plant grown for its masses of delicate, purple flowers. The showy blooms are borne on slender stems up to 40 cm tall, through late winter and early spring above the grass like foliage. This perennial typically grows to 15 cm tall and 10 cm wide, performing best when positioned in full sun on a well-drained site. It is tolerant of short periods of dry, frost, cool climates, and will die back during these times to regrow when conditions start to warm. Triteleia is commonly included in cottage gardens, planted around outdoor living areas, used in border plantings, or maintained in a container. A mass planting is a must with this variety with bulbs spaced 5-10 cm apart and planted 5 cm deep.
